Become an EQ-i 2.0 Certified Practitioner

Emotional Intelligence is a term that is bandied around a lot, especially when you are talking about leadership.

From experience, it is not until you immerse yourself in an Emotional Intelligence assessment that you start to truly understand what it is.

So how do you know if someone is emotionally intelligent? And if you know they are not, how do you help them to develop?

This is where tools like the EQ-i 2.0 (and its EQ360 companion) shine. Not only do you develop an in depth understanding of what it means to be emotionally intelligent, but you can measure it and work with people to develop their EI.

The EQ-i 2.0/EQ360 Model

The EQ-i 2.0® is a robust, reliable and valid model used to measure emotional intelligence. The total Emotional Intelligence score is at the core, or centre of the model.

The composite scales are the high-level categories that contain the subscales:

  • Self Perception
  • Self Expression
  • Interpersonal
  • Decision Making
  • Stress Management

The 15 subscales (inner segments of the model) are the building blocks of EI. They all work together to impact emotional and social functioning and performance, which also includes insight into personal well-being (happiness).

EQ-i 2.0® is a self-report consisting of 133 statements that cover a wide range of emotional and social functioning. Clients rate how true each statement is for themselves on a 5-point scale, along with scores for four validity indices. It takes approximately 30 minutes to administer.

It answers questions such as:

  • Are there better ways to connect at a personal level?
  • What ways can I manage stress better?
  • Am I realistic about how I perceive myself?
  • Should I express myself more?
  • How can I make better decisions?

The EQ-i 2.0/EQ 360 certification program was a great introduction to this valuable leadership development tool and the virtual environment was an easy way to attend the training. The group was professional and intimate and the program was expertly facilitated by Ros. I'm now competent, confident and certified to apply these tools with Coaching clients. I see them reap the rewards by becoming more emotionally intelligent. It can stabilise their team and increase performance and productivity across the board.

Insightful and thought-provoking content, delivered masterfully by Ros Batson. I'd highly recommend this Certification Program.

Mark Lazaroo - Learning Consultant - Bankwest

The Certification Program was very thorough and professionally delivered. It ensured that the participants who completed the course left not only with the knowledge but with the practical skills they needed to roll-out the EQ-i 2.0 in their organisation. The program was very engaging and stimulating and had a really good balance of content in terms of theories and practice.
