Motivational Values Inventory
To value something means to place importance on it. Values represent how we decide whether our actions are good or bad, or right or wrong. Values can be defined as feelings or emotional states that we either want to experience (toward values) or want to avoid (away values). That is, they are our attractions or repulsions in life.

altWe are motivated and make decisions based on our values. They determine how you think and ultimately affect your actions. For the most part, the impact your values have on your behaviours operates outside of conscious awareness. For example, if you value safety, you’ll constantly evaluate situations from whether or not they present any potential danger. Generally speaking, you won’t be aware of how this happens; you’ll just do it automatically.

When we communicate with ourselves or others, if our model of the world conflicts with our values or their values, then there's going to be a conflict. If you’ve ever experienced indecisiveness, you can guarantee its almost always associated with a values conflict.

Dr John Gora has developed a Motivational Values Inventory that is designed to help you reflect on the environment that must exist for you to feel happy, fulfilled and ultimately motivated to excel. The Inventory has been designed to be used in three contexts: life, work/ career, love relationships and takes about 1 hour to complete per context.

The Inventory will give you a greater insight into the type of environment that will motivate and inspire you. As you learn more about Motivational Values you will also gain valuable insights into how to motivate yourself, your lover, your staff, and even your manager using your understanding of values.
